The weekend kicked off in a good way…Oli had some fantastic news…he passed his professional exams! I’m so proud of him and also very excited that he is now free to enjoy the summer weekends with me.
So following that news and a bit of celebrating we decided to embrace our first free weekend together and cram in as much as we could. Today we went to Birmingham jewellery quarter and picked out our wedding rings first thing and enjoyed a nice cup of coffee for elevensies looking out at the sunshine.
We then had a wonder round ikea and found a sofa for when we move into our new house. And thennnnn, we went to the allotment!
We decided that our aim for today would be to clear our strawberry patch. My mum has managed to get us a few strawberry plants, which we didn’t think we’d be able to get this year. We’ll be picking them up from her next week, so we wanted to make sure the plot was prepared.
We did get a bit carried away and ended up weeding around the strawberry patch and then just kept pulling weeds wherever we could see them flowering. We could have kept going…but it got dark!
Back tomorrow 🙂
