Over the last few years we’ve had a few different plots on different allotment sites, but even now we are still learning and I think we are still considered new to the world of growing our own. We often find ourselves getting super excited when we have our first success, especially when it’s something we have tried and failed with for several years. But one thing we’ve learnt from our allotment is not to give up and to always try again!
This year, with our plot now fenced in and winter dug we tried yet again with brassicas, something which we’ve grown every year but never quite managed to get from the plot to the kitchen. At the moment it looks like we might have our own Brussels sprouts and red cabbage ready for Christmas, which I am so excited about as they are my favourite winter veg!
